And another ...

.. I am really enjoying this latest kit from Scarlet Lime and have made 5 LOs this week. Feel very productive! I wanted to do another LO for the Butterfly Crafts Book Inspiration challenge about my diary. I have never really kept a diary, but I saw this one on Elise Blaha's blog, and as I'm a sucker for all things notebook related, I decided to get one. It's a 5 year diary and have really enjoyed writing in it each day, there's only space for a few lines so it's really easy to jot down a few notes and I'll be able to look back each year on what I did.

The LO is also for the latest UKS Scrap Like You Mean It challenge, which is to include stamping. As you can see, mine's a very token effort to that!

Precious things....

... I had in mind to do a LO for this challenge on Category Stories when I saw it earlier this month. Then I thought it would be perfect to go with my Mother's Day LO that I did below. It shows the beautiful cards the girls made for me and thoughtful presents.

A little challenge ...

... Audrey (one of the Scarlet Lime girls on UKS) set a challenge to get us to use up our kits, which was this Picaso picture.I've combined that with the March Butterfly Crafts challenge to take inspiration from a book - here's mine.
And this is what I created! It's not quite what I had in mind when I first thought about this LO. I knew I wanted to use the BG chipboard as my Picaso inspiration, but it is actually quite a statement on it's own, so I don't think I should have used so much patterned paper. Anyway I still quite like it. There's no journalling, but I have another Mothering Sunday picture to scrap, so shall probably do that as a companion LO with the journalling.

For the last time ...

... well actually it's today! And I remembered this month. Once the photos are taken, I've got 3 month's worth of entries to do!

Have made a start on my Scarlet Lime March kit. It was in danger of not being used it's so lovely!! When I was looking through my two DD's albums the other day I realised that DD2 had far fewer LOs in hers - so I thought I'd better even up the tally!

The first LO is for the Scrap Like You Mean It challenge on UKS.

This one is a scraplift from Claire's blog, from a Tracie Hudson class she did at the weekend.

Stash Injection ...

... have been a bit of a bad blogger - sorry! Haven't felt too great over the last week with toothache and my craft desk is a complete mess which doesn't help! Anyway, I have had lots of yummy deliveries this week. Firstly my March kit from Scarlet Lime, which is just gorgeous. Have Mother's Day LOs planned with that!
I also felt in need of some of the new CHA releases, so have purchased some Sassafras Lass 'Vintage Yummy', Bo Bunny 'Abbey Road', Cosmo Cricket 'Girl Friday' and MME 'Bloom'. So that should keep me busy for a while!

I also got the Scarlet Lime Project kit, but had already cut it up before I took the photos. And this is what I made - a banner designed by Janna Wilson. The photo doesn't do it justice, I have it hanging above my craft desk and it so lovely to look at. The canvases were painted by my daughters a couple of years ago and I think they could probably do with being updated!

Here's a couple of LOs I've done in the last week. The first one was from the latest Pencilines sketch.
This one was a crop challenge, to scrap our best feature and use an embossing technique that we had learnt at the previous crop. Mine is resist emboss on the butterfly. I spotted the quote on the OLW blog , it reads "One does not see anything until one sees its beauty." by Oscar Wilde

Looks like the weather will be good for the weekend, so enjoy!

Scarlet Lime loveliness ...

... managed to start using the latest kit at the weekend, finished a LO off that I had started and did 3 new ones.

DH has done the journalling on this one, which is really great, although I know he can write much neater than this, so I got a bit irked! This LO celebrates the achievements I had in February with winning some challenges and prizes.
DD1's World Book Day Costume. I've added some extra papers and embellies to this one that weren't in the kit.
I took this photos on a sunny day in Wiltshire last June (along with the photo in the 1st LO) and they really suit the colours and papers that were in this month's kit.
Not long now until March's kit will turn up!

Not scrapping much ...

... life is getting in the way! Have been very fortunate to spend the last 3 days with my friend Tracey here though, courtesy of a sales conference organised by Disneyland Paris. It was very strange being there without the girls, and there were 'official' events we had to attend, but we still had plenty of spare time and made the most of going on the big rides that I can't normally do with two little ones! Look at this blue sky!
Am very tired though - must be my age, and now have plenty of work and housework to catch up on!
