... have had ideas the last few days, but struggled to get them into a LO. Hearing the UKS girls chatting about their LOs gave me a kick up the bum to get on with it! I read this quote a few days ago and though it summed my girls up perfectly:
Sisters are different flowers from the same garden.
So I have used yesterday's Unity challenge to put it all together. "You need to use the acronyms of FIRST for Unity's first birthday.
1. the project MUST include Unity stamps since we are celebrating Unity's FIRST birthday.
2. F is for flowers...include some sort of flower or flower image in the project
3. I is for insect...think butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs, etc...
4. R is for ribbon
5. S is for scallops
6. T is for turquoise or teal so you must include one of these two colors in the project."

365 Cards and Unity ...
... I didn't manage to do the challenge on 365 cards yesterday. It was to include one fish on your card - well I don't have any fish related stash so decided to let that one pass! Today's challenge was to use the sentiment 'I Miss You'. I've chosen to use a Unity April Kit stamp which says 'thinking of you today - hope to see you soon' which is kind of the same thing! The two girls stamp is also from Unity and I can see me using that one quite a bit!
Taking of Unity they are having a Anniversary Party in Split Coast Stampers with daily challenges. Yesterday's was to make a card with Unity colours - Kraft, Ruby Red, So Saffron and Baja Breeze - here's mine:

A-Z Journal ..
... spurred on by finishing Scrap Your Day, I was determined yesterday to do some more of the girls' A-Z albums. I've been doing this project since Jan '08 and really just need to get it finished now! I did 5 LOs (2 are duplicates), so that leaves me with about 5 more each to do. Am struggling for word inspiration though!
365 Cards - Super Sketchy Sunday!
... I really enjoyed playing along with the challenges during the 365 cards Scor-it week and intended to carry on last week, but just didn't manage it. So I thought I'd start the week afresh with today's sketch challenge.

Butterfly Crafts Challenge 10 ...
... was to create a LO about what fashion means to you. Whether it be favourite fashions from a period of time, a favourite designer or maybe even a fashion disaster - whatever you want.
DD2 immediately sprung to mind. At the tender age of 4, I am amazed at how fashion conscious she already is. She likes to have new clothes and always gets herself dressed - I'm terrfied thinking about what she'll be like at 16!!! This LO started with a completely different set of papers, but they just weren't girly enough. These aren't particularly, but I thought the colours went with the picture well.
The journalling block and dressmaker's dummy stamps are from my new (March and April) Unity Stamps KOTM. I'm not a big stamper, but I like the versatility that stamping gives you (especially with my foray in to cardmaking!)
Scarlet Lime April's kit arrived this week - and OMG it's bright and bold. Not at all like last month's kit, it's going to be a real challenge for me. So I thought I'd jump in at the deep end and use the papers that worried me the most first! And I'm actually really pleased with the results.
I struggle with not journalling on a LO, but I also didn't want to upset the asthestics with my scrawly handwriting, so I've written a letter to DD1 on the back.

Finally finished ...
...my last 3 entries for Scrap Your Day. I was determined to get them done at my crop today, and apart from adding a couple of wrongly sized photos when I got home, I did! So pleased to have finally finished this project - it will be great to look back on!
January:
February: These were taken on the 26th as I'd forgotten the previous day, and yes, I had a bad day.

Matchbook Card ...
Tri-Fold Card ...
Money Holder ...
.. the next challenge was to make a money holder. This one measures 4"x4". The title is embossed, inspired by Audrey's challenge over on the Backporch Memories CyberCrop. And inside:
365 Cards - Gift Card Holder ...
... so in a bid to make more cards I decided to play along with this week's challenges on 365 Cards. This week is all about scoring, so the first challenge is a gift card holder. It measures 4"x3.5": Here's a peek at inside:

One last one ...
... have managed to squeeze one last LO out of the Scarlet Lime kit. It's a scraplift of Ronda Palazzari (the P-Man LO in this link) and I was really attracted to it as it's a great way to use up scraps. The journalling is about DD1's first time of the lead rope.

Happy Belated Easter...
... hope whatever you did it was a good one. I had an overnight stay near Chester and then off to see family in Torquay. So have finally managed to blog a couple of things I did last week. A LO from the Scarlet Lime kit - I now have no uncut sheets of paper from this kit, which I think is first, especially to use it up in the month the kit arrives!Secondly, a card for the UKS monthly challenge, which is to use predomiately Pink, Red or Orange. I went for Orange!

Using the stash...
... I'm more than happy to cut into a piece of new paper and to prove it, here's some LOs using my newest stash aquisitions!
The first is a sketch challenge from MOJOHOLDER using Sassafras Lass Yummy Vintage paper.
The second is also a sketch contest from PAGEMAPS using MME Bloom papers. That background paper has got to be one of my most favourite at the moment, I think I might have to get another sheet!
The theme for this contest is "What's On My Mind", as it's being sponsored by MME (you didn't have to use their papers, but seeing as though I had them sat on my desk!) The title is 'Fairy Thoughts' and the journalling reads "At the end of a busy party, in your new PJS, lost in your own thoughts."

Sketches! - {by Tamara}...
... I found this website when I was looking for card blogs, but it also does Scrapbookign challenges, including this sketch one I did. It documents about how DD1 has just met her American cousin for the first time and was completely smitten with her! Have used the new scrummy Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday papers.
Cards ...
... I'm not a card maker, but I really want to be. With so many scraps, it seems a shame not to put them to use. So I've been merrily bookmarking lots of card blogs over the last couple of days for inspiration. I've made this one for a friend's birthday next week from the Scarlet Lime kit. This SEI paper is gorgeous, you can't tell from the photo but it's got a matt foiled effect to it. This colour combo is turning into one of my faves.
