Lucky Sunday ...
.. yesterday I went to the CraftyStash Exhall crop and did a class by Tracie Oakes. The kit was all Basic Grey Ambrosia and here are the LOs I did. Not my usual style of scrapping and I don't usually spend so long on just 1 LO, but I really enjoyed taking some time to do something a bit different. All the butterflies are hand cut from pp - I did 17 in total!
Whilst there I won a raffle prize! Then when I logged on last night I found out that I had also won the wekitunot challenge - so I had a lucky day!
In other news I have officially rejoined the workforce! I have been working for easyfundraising.org.uk for over a year now on an ad hoc basis, but today I started on a 15 hour week contract. How am I going to fit that in with my scrapping??!!

A-Z update ...
... I got quite behind with the girl's A-Z albums last year. I thought doing 2 x 2 entries per month would be manageable. And it was when I had an idea straight away as what to do for an entry, but then I started to struggle with ideas and lost momentum. So with a renewed determination last weekend I did 5 LOs (2 duplicates). That leaves me with about 8 LOs to do for each of them!

Some new stash ...
had a few new goodies to playwith this week. Firstly, I picked up some Halloween paper at the crop last weekend, so have done this LO of the girls. We don't go for Halloween in a big way, but the girls did go out Trick or Treating. Secondly, January's Scarlet Lime kit arrived yesterday and I wanted to play straight away! So I've done this LO for wekitunot's January New Beginnings challenge.

Scrap Your Day ...
.. I had my second visit to the Nuneaton Paper Dolls crop yesterday and was determined to get up to date with Scrap Your Day, so I was really pleased that I got 3 months worth of entries done!

I also did this LO for Shimelle's Week 2 Scrap Like You Mean It challenge, which was to include hearts or stars. I've used a January PageMaps sketch.

Broken already ...
... for the second time aswell. My craft resolution that is. I've found another challenge to play along with, and it made me want to start creating straight away, so that's a good thing right? It's called 52Q and is being host by Emily Falconbridge. She's going to post a question each week to be answered through a mini art journal. Mine's 4 by just over 2" - question one side, answer on the other. So that's completely doable each week. Week 1 is what are your wishes for 2009.

Happy 2009...
... a bit belated, but New Year was followed by DD1's 6th birthday, so it's been a bit hectic! So with a new year comes new resolutions and new challenges.
My crafting resolution was NOT commit to any more challenges, but one of my UKS team mates mentioned 12 months ... 12 projects and thought it would be a good addition to my existing challenges. I'm planning on taking a weekly photo of the girls and then doing a month in review LO for each of them. But my main goal for 2009 is to complete the following projects:
- The girls A-Z albums (I'm about half way through)
- Scrap Your Day (I'm 3 months behind!)
- Capturing Time
- Everyone has a Story
Shimelle has also started a weekly challenge thread on UKS - 'Scrap Like You Mean It', so I'm hoping to play along with that as and when the challenges appeal.
But firstly my Xmas Journal needs to be finished! I've done a few more pages which I shall hopefully upload tomorrow.
