Goodbye Sketchy Thursday ...
... like many people I was a bit sad to hear the news that the Sketchy Thursday challenges were going to stop. I never played along as much as I would have liked, but their sketches were always easy to use and adapt. I couldn't not take part in their last challenge.

Scrapping this weekend ....
... a new batch of photos from Photobox, a new Scrapbook Cirle kit and an online crop with Shimelle - I plan to make the most of that this weekend!
The crop started yesterday and the first challenge was to include some printables designed by Mary Anne Walters - on my LO these include the journalling block and the circles. She designed them to co-ordinate with the My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose range so as I had a few bits of this I used that as my starting block. I've also used the latest Sketchy Thursday sketch.
The next challenge was to use stickers from more than one range. This is the balcony shot that I always take of Steve and the girls when we go to Majorca. It's such a great way of seeing the changes in them. I've used old an old Scarlet Lime kit that I've used for a lot of my previous Majorca LOs. The stickers are all Making Memories and include Passport, The Great Escape and Circle Ledger.

Alien Day ...
... I used a Sketchy Thursday sketch from a week ago which I really liked and saved to do however I'm not so keen on how this turned out. Maybe it's because there's not enough contrast in the colours but I wanted a space-y feel and picked out the purple from the photo. Oh well, it does the job!

It's funny, I spent quite a bit of time on this, misting the background, misting the cardboard circles (not that you'd know) and stickle-ing the alphas, however I think I prefer my LOs that come together more quickly. A lesson learnt!

A couple of sketches ...
... using the March Scrapbook Circle kit.
Shimelle's sketch of the week. Painting canvases has made me a bit braver with paint on LOs.
(Photo edited for privacy).
Sketchy Thursday - the sketch was a double LO, but I changed it into a single.

Have taken time off work to spend with the girls, which has given me a bit of crafty time - yeah!

Over 24 hours in the making ...
... I would consider myself a speedy scrapper, that is when I get a whole hour to myself to sit down. Making this LO is pretty typical nowdays of why I don't get to scrap as much as I would like!
- Yesterday morning start LO
- Take DD2 to party, she's still at the stage where she likes me to stay
- 2 and a half hours later get home, play with LO for 5 mins
- Go to Ikea to buy more storage for the ever increasing stuff the household is accumulating
- Back home, 5 more mins on LO
- Make tea and then flat pack furniture (DH is useless with that!). Put girls to bed
- Crash on sofa in front of TV exhausted. Go to bed
- Get up, school run then work
- Find 10 mins to finish LO before dog starts whining for his walk.
Photographing LO and blogging is another story! Anyway, I've used a Sketchy Thursday sketch.
I've got quite a few stamps and never remember to use them, must make more of an effort.

Will class this as last week's LO for goal purposes seeing as thought I'm 1 behind!

Finally some pages to share...
... have had more creativity this last week and have managed 3 LOs - woo hoo!!!! 2 have been done in the last 24 hours!
This one started life as a Sketchy Thursday sketch but doesn't look much like it.
These two are based on Jana Eubank sketches.

I had a new kit delivered from Scrapbook Circle this week and am looking forward to playing with that next, yummy papers from Cosmo Cricket, MME and October Afternoon and some interesting looking burlap!

Their story ...
... using the latest Sketchy Thursday sketch and journalling inspired by this post.
The light is fadin here so the colours look a bit more washed out than they are IRL.

Sunday afternoon ...
... here's what I did for the rest of the day!!
Sun 1pm - Twisted Sketches challenge - to use their sketch and a 'Count your blessings' theme
Sun 11am - Lisa's Rock Chick challenge. OK so I was a bit off the wall with this one as the challenge was to use Rock Chick as your theme and I've journalled about DD1's rock collection!!!!
Sun 5pm - Sketchy Thursday's Sketch challenge. I've added extra paint since I completed this LO as the photo didn't feel very anchored. Had to use water as the theme also.
Sun 7pm - Cathy Zielske set the grand finale challenge to scrap photos from one day. I've chosen to document our camping routine.

I completed 14 out of the 25 challenges, really happy with that. We can carry on uploading until 7pm tonight, but in reality I don't think I'll manage any more LOs. Really hope I manage to win a prize!
