It was that time of the month - so here's my LO! The two large photos at the top have pockets and so there's more photos behind. It started off as pretty much an average day, until I got a phone call from school to say that DD1 had bee complaining of tummy aches, and as there's a nasty outbreak of sickness to take her home and keep her off for 48 hours. Well, she's been fine - no sickness & no tummy ache - but at least she's not at school to catch this bug I suppose. We picked our first raspberries of the year, which the girls ate all really quickly.

Circles, circles ..
Another challenge, this time from a new blog - Scrap Schemes. the challenge was to use the picture shown on their blog as inspiration and I chose to use it as a sketch. Have used the yummy October Afternoon papers from my June Scarlet Lime kit. The little journalling tag reads - 'The best things in life aren't things. They are family.'
Oh, and ...

Tag you're it...
.. or rather I am! Laura tagged me today, so here goes:
Five facts:
10 years ago: not married, my DH to be and I had bought our second home together in Leamington Spa and we were planning our trip around Thailand (can't believe it was that long ago!)
5 things in today's 'to do list' (I've made mine tomorrow's list):
1. Organise cat sitter for our holiday (we go to Majorca on Saturday - hooray!)
2. Make 'holiday to do list'
3. Weed garden (groan!)
4. Do my daily work (approx 60 mins)
5. Paint DD's clay pot with her
5 snacks I enjoy: custard creams, olives, hummous & oatcakes, Green & Blacks choccie, crumpets
5 things I would do if I was a millionaire:
1. Buy a house by the sea
2. Take my girlfriends on a luxury health spa weekend
3. Take a trip to see my brother in Australia
4. Buy DD a pony (seeing as she's so in love with them!)
5. Get tickets for the Men's final at Wimbledon
5 places I have lived:
1. Torquay
2. Bristol
3. Basingstoke
4. Birmingham
5. Warwick
So now I tag 5 people, hope you'll play along - Steph, Paige, Nat, Tinkerbelle, Debbie - you're it!
Have also done a quick LO today for my sister - I recko if I do a LO a week, then it'll be done in time for her November Birthday! It based on a sketch by Jane Dean in Scrapbook Inspirations April issue.

It's a good thing ...
I've only just spotted the current challenge on ScrapMojo, and although the challenge is over now, it suited some camping photos I wanted to scrap. We had to use the Martha Stewart 'It's a good thing' tag line.
This was our first camp of the year, due to weather and DH work commitments, we haven't been able to go until a couple of weekends ago. Hoping to get out some more with the girls over the summer. We have two tents - the photo is of our smaller one that I bought so I could go away with the girls on my own, however it's getting used more than expected and it's a bit of a squeeze with 4 of us.
This is the Scarlet Lime project kit - it's made from a chipboard frame and plexi-glass. Think I'll be making a few more!

Like a pig in mud!
I've been stomping my feet these last few days as some of the other girls on UKS had been receiving their June Scarlet Lime Kits, but not me! So to console myself this afternoon I sat down with an old SL kit and did a LO, and just as I finished Mr Postie arrived with my new kit. I think it's one of my favourites so far, and includes some New October Afternoon paper which I've been dying to get my hands on.
Main Kit: OK, so I indulged and bought the add-ons aswell.

Here's the LO I was doing, it's for the current Dreamgirls Challenge, photos from last weekend. My Lovely DD now has an obsession with horses, yes, it's going to be costly!

Finally ..
an entry into the girl's A-Z albums - G is for Glastonbury and Glyndebourne - the journaling explains how they have different dress senses - one 'festival chick', the other 'smart'! As with other entries, I have kept the LOs the same and have used Cosmo Cricket paper (although this is some new yummy Hey Sugar).
Another LO for my sister, the photos are of her Christening, but the journaling (which I'm going to get my stepmum to do) will explain why her name was chosen. My two brothers and me all have names with 3 letters, so my dad and stepmum decided to keep this tradition when my sister was born, which I think was a lovely idea.

Lots of photo sorting
Manage to sit down yesterday and sort out all the photos for my sister's birthday album. I thought I'd do 20 LOs but looking at all I want to put in, there are at least 24 - eek! So here's no. 2 - not sure my stepmum will thank me for posting the photo of her on my blog, but she won't know!
I've also planned a few of my A-Z pages, just need to print some photos out.

Lace Winner
A random number generator picked out Cass's post, so she's the winner of my little lace parcel - well done! Shall send you a PM on UKS to get your address. I enjoyed reading all about your favourite stash items and the talking Dymo! Thanks for all the lovely comments you leave me about my LOs aswell, it makes my day reading them.

Not an A-Z LO..
.. but the weekly UKS challenge which was to scrap a childhood photo - so here's me at 5 months old!
Right back to thinking about A-Z entries! Don't forget about the little giveaway below

One of my favourite things ..
.. is LACE. I love it! But after buying some, getting some in kits and completing a lace swap, I find that I've got quite a bit of it. So I thought I would give some away.
So just leave me a comment telling me what your current favourite stash item is, and on Sunday I'll pick one lucky person to receive this little bundle.

Ran out of steam ..
... last week as this LO has been sat on my desk since then! I kept tinkering with it and finally made myself sit down and do it today. I saw something similiar in Scrapbook Creations, but my LO hasn't quite come out as I had in my head! The journaling reads - "well most of the time anyway..."
Had the sudden realisation today that I was really behind with the girl's A-Z albums - 5 entries each to be precise - so that's 10 LOs I need to catch up on and my objective for this week - wish me luck.

My challenge
After the challenge I sent my teamies on UKS, Jackie set one for me - to use brown and pink cardstock (no pp), blooms and chipboard. So I'd seen a LO in For Keeps magazine last night that used lace cardstock and I decided to make my own on my Cricut using SCAL. I'm really pleased with how it came out.
And here's my LO for Jackie's challenge, thanks heavens for the pink blooms in my Scraptitude package the other day!Monday, 2 June 2008
I have ideas
I have lots of LOs in my head at the moment and feel that if I don't do them ALL NOW I'll forget them, so here's my third LO of the day! I've actually set it as a challenge for my UKS team, which is to use fabric/lace/ribbon rather than patterned paper. The cardstock is actually a pale blue, but isn't showing up very well.
A few little yummies ...
After I saw some lovely stash on Laura's blog that she'd bought from Scrapitude, I knew I needed to make a little purchase - and these lovelies arrived this morning, super quick delivery. I don't use a lot of blooms on my LOs, but do find them handy for minibooks and the buttons are fab!
I put one of the journaling spots to good use straight away on this LO. It describes how we'd found a sprouting conker lying on the ground in the garden, must have been a discarded one from last autumn, and have now planted it in our orchard.
This LO was done with bits from various Scarlet Lime kits plus fabric and embellies from Kitty Robot that I got last month, thought the apple and caterpillar theme went well together!
